We
can accommodate four people. The cottage has been equipped and
furnished to a high standard for this number.
You
can relax in the large garden with lawns and colourful "Cottage
garden" plants that are used to give flower throughout the year.
In the borders are hellebores, auriculas, spring bulbs, honeysuckle,
herbs and an array of summer flowers.
Roses
and clematis cover arches that lead to a quiet hide-away garden
room. Hanging
baskets and planters decorate the paved area where you can enjoy
your meals outside on a sunny day. We have a barbecue area for
those who wish to cook out of doors during the summer.
We
hope you will find time to feed the many birds that visit the
garden, especially in the winter.
The
garden and car parking area is enclosed.
Pets
are welcome, by arrangement,
please remember we are in the heart of livestock country, we ask
that your dog is kept under close control in both the house and
garden and is not allowed into the fields where sheep or cattle
are grazing, except when on a lead.
Heating
the cottage
Upstairs: electric convector heaters, also radiators
that are heated by the wood-burning stove.
Downstairs: electric storage heaters and the wood
burning stove in the lounge. Water is heated by the wood burning
stove or with an electric immersion heater. A starter pack for
the stove is provided.
